Talleres del Agua is the top company with the most sustainable-friendly employees after winning the inter-company ResponseAbilities competition.
ResponseAbilities is the digital gamification program set up this year by Fluidra, the global leader in equipment and connected solutions in the pool and wellness sector, that empowers and involves its employees so that they contribute to the success of its sustainability strategy. Its aim is to make them aware of and help them to put the 9 SDGs into practice targeted by the company to drive its environmental, social and governance (ESG) strategy forward.
The initiative forms part of the Responsibility Blueprint, a plan set to last until 2026. Its goal is to make sustainability core to the management of the business based on ESG criteria. Its work has been rewarded with an upgrade to its S&P ESG score by two points.
Thanks to ResponseAbilities, corporate sustainability at Fluidra also involves the people who make up the group. To date, the employees from 18 of Fluidra’s companies in Spain and the United States have saved more than 2,300,000 liters of water and 7 tons of CO2 through more than 7,500 everyday actions that they have been able to post on the DoGood app, which drives the sustainable culture forward of these companies by measuring the impact of these actions on employees.
In April, a competition was launched between all of the companies involved to find out which one had the most sustainable workforce. After several months of carrying out actions and posting them on the app, the winning company was Talleres del Agua, a company devoted to the manufacture of the components required for pool heaters and dehumidifiers that forms part of the group.
In this first stage of the initiative, which will run until September this year, around 35% of the workforce as a whole spread between Spain and the United States is taking part in it. Since its launch, the app has enabled the various work teams to come together in the same sustainability-driven space so that they could learn from the actions of their workmates, inspire each other and drive a sustainable culture forward. The next stage will be launched for 60% of the global workforce and it is anticipated that it will be introduced at the start of 2023.
