Fluidra to commercialise state-of-the-art irrigation telemanagement systems
April 26, 2011The multinational has signed an agreement with Samcla, Spain’s leading
manufacturer of irrigation telemanagement systems, for the exclusive
commercialisation of its products in Spain.
The technology developed by Samcla makes it possible to control
irrigation and lighting networks in parks and green spaces over the Internet.
This technology, used in over 30 municipalities in the country, makes it
possible to save around 35% in water consumption, as well as to reduce costs
and time.
Fluidra, the multinational specialised in the development of applications for the
sustainable use of water, through its subsidiary Fluidra España, has signed a
distribution agreement with Samcla, a leading company in irrigation telemanagement
systems, for the exclusive commercialisation of its products throughout Spain.
Thanks to this agreement, Fluidra will be able to supply innovative telemanagement
systems that make it possible to centralise and control irrigation and lighting networks
over the Internet.
The software of the SAMCLA® SCR100 telemanagement system makes it possible to
centralise and control all types of irrigation and lighting systems online, whether
private gardens or municipal automated irrigation points. This centralised system
makes it possible to turn irrigation programs on and off, or to automatically stop
irrigation altogether due to meteorological factors such as rain, strong winds or very
low temperatures.
The SAMCLA® SCR100 telemanagement system also enables users to monitor water
consumption, control costs and detect possible leaks or problems in installations.
Similarly, it is also possible to turn lighting towers on and off remotely.
Over 30 municipalities currently manage their green spaces using this system, which
is used to make over 4,000 appliances work in parks and gardens in Madrid,
Barcelona, Valencia and Catalonia’s main cities. The technology developed by Samcla is used in emblematic places such as the Botanical Gardens of Barcelona and the
Royal Polo Club of Barcelona, where in addition to irrigation systems, lighting towers
are also telemanaged.
The online management of irrigation makes it possible to save around 35% in water
consumption, thanks to the fact that rainwater is used to maximum effect,
programming times are constantly adjusted and leaks are detected in real time. It also
contributes to improving the efficiency of the irrigation process as maintenance staff in
parks and gardens save time and reduces the number of movements they have to
make from one place to another.
This agreement reflects the commitment of Fluidra and Samcla to sustainability and
the environment. It likewise places them as leading brand names in Spain in the
development of new technologies applied to telemanagement through online
platforms.
