February 28, 2008Fluidra, the multinational specialist in developing applications
for the sustainable use of water, presented today the results of fiscal year 2007. According to
these figures, Fluidra’s sales rise to 657.2 million Euros this past year, which is a 25.9%
growth. This increase in results is due to Fluidra’s solid organic growth in its main markets, as
well as the integration of new companies that have reinforced the WATER division of the
group.
All main figures of the results show a clear positive evolution. EBITDA reaches 94.6 million
Euros, which is 31.4% more than fiscal year 2006. The normalized net income (deducting the
extraordinary expenses related to the IPO), rises to 36.1 million Euros, which is 31.3% more
than the previous year. Net income represents 32.6 million Euros, representing a 18.6%
growth.
POOL division results
In Fluidra’s Pool Division, focused on production and distribution of pool components and
accessories, sales have reached 523.0 million Euros, marking a growth of 15.7%, and an
EBITDA of 71.4 million Euros, which means an increase of 16.1% over the previous fiscal
year.
The sustained growth of POOL division reflects Fluidra’s success in developing value-added
strategic products (automatic cleaners and covers, heat pumps, salt electrolysis and LED
lighting, etc.) and the reinforcement of its distribution structures in Europe, Asia and Australia.
WATER division results
Fluidra’s WATER division, focused on production and distribution of water treatment solutions,
fluid handling and irrigation, reached 193.1 million Euros in sales in fiscal year 2007,
increasing a 75.2% over the same period the previous year, and an EBITDA of 23.6 million
Euros, which is 75.6% more than previous results. Among other growth factors, these figures
reflect the inclusion of the entire year 2007 of this division, compared to the 9 months
registered in the 2006 results, as well as the contribution of the new acquisitions carried out in
2007.
The WATER division has reinforced its position in Southern Europe with the acquisition of
various companies throughout 2007. In the irrigation market, Fluidra integrated the companies
Irrigaronne (France) and Master Riego (Spain) and in the water treatment sector, the Spanish
company ATH.
Main achievements 2007 and perspectives 2008
Eloi Planes, Fluidra’s CEO, affirms that “our strategic, sales and operative objectives set for
2007 have been met. This has made Fluidra a more diversified and more international
company, which places us in a good position to face 2008, a year to reinforce our leadership
position and our value creation strategy through a robust organic growth, complemented by
those opportunities that fit into our strategic development”.
One of the most significant aspects of this past year was the company’s going public, which
took place on 31 October 2007. The evolution of the trading was affected by an extremely
volatile environment. Even still, analyst recommendations until now advise to maintain or buy
Fluidra shares. This demonstrates the trust in the company’s shares and its future evolution.
