Born on 6 November 1974. Graduated with a Degree in Law from the University of Santiago de Compostela. Licence en Droit from the University of Maine, Le Mans. Awarded a Master’s Degree in European Law from the College of Europe, Bruges. Earned a Diploma in International Studies from The Johns Hopkins University SAIS.
Maximino Montero began his career as a lawyer at the firm Araoz & Rueda in Madrid, where he stayed from 2000 to 2005. During this time, he mainly practiced commercial and corporate law, specifically, M&A, leveraged and management buyouts, international contracts and financing transactions. Between 2005 and 2012, Maximino was an associate lawyer in the Corporate Law Department at Garrigues in Barcelona, where he focused his professional practice on M&A, in addition to corporate restructuring operations. Between January and December 2010, he worked as a foreign temporary associate in the Capital Markets and M&A Department at Davis Polk & Wardwell in New York.
In 2012, he joined La Seda de Barcelona SA as the Legal Director and non-member Secretary of the Board of Directors, where he stayed until 2015, when he started to work for Fluidra SA, where he currently holds the post of General Counsel for the EMEA region.
Throughout his career, Maximino has acquired extensive experience in commercial and corporate law, both in the field of M&A and in all types of business restructuring and contracts.
