Laguna Martianez

The Costa Martiánez Tourist Complex, also known as Lago Martiánez, is a leisure and entertainment area made up of seven artificial seawater pools and a large lake, as well as gardens, terraces, islands, viewpoints, solariums, cultural spaces, bars and restaurants . It is currently the symbol and main tourist attraction of Puerto de la Cruz (Tenerife), the tourist destination with the longest tradition and prestige in the Canary Islands (Spain). Costa Martiánez has an area of 100,000 square meters that completely transformed the coastline around the port that could not be used as a beach or for recreation. It is located on land reclaimed from the sea on the coast of the same name. It was built due to the need to meet the demand for recreation and leisure areas that arose in this municipality in the north of the island, which has become a first-class international tourist center.
