Through its new foundation, Fluidra will also champion culture, specifically, music
Fluidra, the listed Spanish multinational dedicated to the development of applications for the sustainable use of water for Pools and Wellness, has set up the Fluidra Foundation, whose main aim is to promote the sustainable and responsible use and enjoyment of water as a natural and fundamental resource for human beings, for which it will draw on the Group’s knowledge of this subject matter.
For Eloi Planes, Fluidra’s executive president, “setting up the Fluidra Foundation is a natural step forward in terms of Corporate Social Responsibility and in our commitment with society and culture, so that we can better align our initiatives and make a greater impact.”
Water, sustainability and music are the core focus of the Fluidra Foundation
The activities of the Fluidra Foundation will be aligned with two basic commitments: social commitment through projects engaged in accessibility, awareness-raising and education about the use of water, in addition to its cultural commitment focused in particular on promoting music.
Joan Planes, the founder and honorary president of Fluidra, has been appointed the Fluidra Foundation’s president: “At Fluidra we have always believed in the sustainable use of water and in the democratisation of its access to all collectives. We appreciate culture in general and music in particular as a way of restoring people’s dignity, and the mission of the Fluidra Foundation will be to drive these ideas forward and put them into practice”.
Fluidra plays an active social role and develops its business model following criteria of innovation and sustainability. The group, which has signed up to the Global Compact of the United Nations, develops its CSR based on water, sport, society and culture.
