Fluidra’s innovative fountain in Perpignan celebrates Christmas with a musical show

The residents of Perpignan will have a very special Christmas celebration. Amongst
the wide variety of activities run by the council is a water, music and light show
centred on the fountain installed by Fluidra opposite the Palais des Congrès. The
fountain, unique in its category for its technology and artistic capacity, will delight
young and old on Wednesday 17 th , 24 th and 31 st December, Saturday 13 th , 20 th and
27 th December and Sunday 14 th and 21 st December. The programme of celebrations
includes 30-minute performances between 5 pm and 6 pm, after sunset.
The Christmas spirit that will captivate the city this month promises to reach its climax
with the shows put on by Perpignan’s most impressive fountain. With its cutting edge
technology, the fountain permits the intensity of the light, colours, music, speed and
water jet pressure to be totally programmed, allowing the generation of one million
colour combinations and the incorporation of any music or sound sequence.
The spectators of the Christmas show will be impressed by the fountain’s water jets,
which can reach a height of 20 metres. The 217 stainless steel flowers of various
designs that make up the fountain, some of which can move, will shine as brightly as
possible for these celebrations.
The crib exhibition, cultural visits, storytelling and organ concerts are some of the
other activities taking place in Perpignan to celebrate the arrival of Christmas.
