Integration has boosted market power in US, the group's largest country
Fluidra has been awarded in the large-volume category of the ACG awards for the best corporate transactions carried out during the past year.
The award recognizes the merger between the world’s pool and wellness equipment leader and US firm Zodiac in a transaction that allowed the new Fluidra to secure the resources to speed up innovation in key areas such as energy efficiency, robotics, and the Internet of Things. The integration process also expands the company’s geographic presence to more than 45 countries.
“I would like to sincerely thank ACG for the recognition and also the Fluidra team, without whom this award would not have been possible,” said Fluidra executive president Eloy Planes Corts, who went on to reference the company's “fierce determination and constant evolution” during the awards ceremony held at the ESADE business school and drawing around 100 attendees.
Environment group Tradebe picked up an award in the mid-market category covering transactions priced at under €50 Mn, for the acquisition of Avanti Environmental (UK), a subsidiary of the American Stericycle group.
