Fluidra provides the pools for the 19th Sukma Games in Malaysia

The company has been tasked with the design and construction of six pools for the Aquatics Complex in Perak, a project worth a total of €1.7Mn.

The facilities have been certified by the International Swimming Federation (FINA).
The pools built by Fluidra, a multinational group listed on the Spanish stock exchange and dedicated to the development of applications for sustainable water use for the Pools & Wellness sector, will feature at the 19th Sukma Games in Malaysia. The biannual national multisport championships involving young people are very popular in Malaysia and will be held in the city of Perak from 12 to 22 September.
Fluidra, through its Malaysian subsidiary, designed and built a total of six pools to be part of the Aquatics Complex where the different water-sports competitions will be held. Specifically, the facilities include an Olympic competition pool, a diving pool, two recreational pools, a training pool, and a wading pool. The project is valued at a total of €1.7Mn.
Fluidra also designed, supplied, and installed all the water treatment systems and competition accessories. Following the pertinent quality assessments and geometric standard checks for the competition, the International Swimming Federation (FINA) certified all the Fluidra pools for the 19th Sukma Games.
This project is a further addition to Fluidra’s important presence in swim competitions across Asia. The company was also the official provider tasked with installing the four pools for the water-sport events at the 2018 Asian Games, to be held in the Indonesian cities of Jakarta and Palembang from 18 August to 2 September.
