Fluidra has been included in the sustainable indices FTSE4Good Ibex and Kempen SNS Smaller Europe SRI Index
October 2, 2009The FTSE4Good Ibex includes Spanish listed companies that meet high
corporate responsibility standards. This index was launched by Bolsas y
Mercados Españoles and the FTSE Group, an organisation owned by The
Financial Times and the London Stock Exchange.
Fluidra was recently added to the Kempen SNS Smaller Europe SRI Index, a
European index made up of small and mid cap companies that stand out for their
commitment to business ethics, social development and environmental policy.
Fluidra, a multinational group specialising in the development of applications for the
sustainable use of water, has been included in the prestigious FTSE4Good Ibex in
the last review performed by the index managers in September. Fluidra is now part of
the group of 30 companies that currently make up this benchmark index for corporate
social responsibility, and which includes the main companies of the Ibex 35.
The companies included in the FTSE4Good Ibex work towards environmental
sustainability objectives and promote the development of positive relationships with
stakeholders, respect and promotion of human rights, the observance of good value-
chain management practices, and the fight against corruption.
The criteria for inclusion in the index are transparent and public, which makes the
FTSE4Good Ibex a very useful tool for investors, as it allows them to identify clearly
the companies that meet globally recognised corporate responsibility standards.
The committee which is responsible for reviewing the companies that deserve being
included in the index in the March and September reviews is comprised of corporate
responsibility experts and professionals from across the world. Fluidra was included
for the first time in the September review.
Fluidra also recently obtained the "SRI" label (Social Responsible Investment) which
is awarded by the Dutch fund management company Kempen Capital Management
to companies that demonstrate a high level of commitment to their corporate social
responsibility policy. In total, 150 companies from 12 countries are included in the
