The Ben Lahbib is now added to the list of 30 public swimming pools and over 135 private pools equipped with Fluidra filtration and disinfection systems in the Middle East.
Fluidra, a multinational group that develops applications for sustainable water use and is listed on the Spanish stock exchange, continues to extend its reach to all corners of the world. The company now strengthens its presence in North Africa with the contract for the Ben Lahbid pool and wellness centre in Oran (Algeria), which features a building that houses a semi-Olympic indoor pool and a wellness area with various pools with waterfalls, two spas, a range of jet showers, saunas and steam baths, in a total of 1,900 m2 of constructed space. Work has already started and completion is scheduled for August 2015.
Fluidra continues to export its expertise across the globe with this contract. The company has equipped pools and ornamental fountains in the Middle East for projects totalling over 5 million euros, providing complete filtration systems and water treatment for pools, lakes and water features in resorts, luxury hotels, universities and residential areas in Doha and Dubai and throughout the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
These projects often focus on more than just “normal” swimming pools or wellness centres. This year, for example, Fluidra designed and supplied a disinfection system for a lake of crocodiles at the private Safari Park of the Royal Family of Dubai as well as a filtration system for a pool used by horses instead of humans. Fluidra also supplied valves and fittings, which were manufactured in Barcelona, for the 60-meter deep Pearl Diving Pool, one of the deepest pools in the world.
The Middle East and North Africa are strategic areas for Fluidra as a result of how crucial water management is in these regions. The company has regional offices in Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Israel, Jordan, Morocco and Turkey, which promote and drive Fluidra’s four business divisions forward.
