Fluidra acquires the italian designer pool company Laghetto

Fluidra, the listed Spanish multinational group devoted to the Pool & Wellness sector, has acquired Piscine Laghetto, a manufacturer internationally renowned for its designer, high-end above-ground pools, whose headquarters are in Cremona, in the Italian region of Lombardy.

The deal has been sealed following the purchase of 90% of the Italian company’s shares. This was the culmination of the groundwork that started a year ago in the shape of a co-branding agreement between Laghetto and AstralPool that basically concentrated on the supply of filters and pumps.

Thanks to this operation, Fluidra has added the renowned range of Laghetto’s above-ground pools to its portfolio. The company takes its name from an alpine lake and has forged a path as a leading designer of high-end pools, which are particularly suited for rooftop gardens, large indoor spaces, terraces and gardens.

The company, whose business is concentrated in Italy and France, has a turnover of around 7 million euros. Fluidra will take on the 30 or so staff who work for the Italian company, which has a track record of more than 40 years.
