    New wellness space at the emblematic CNAB
    Fluidra has developed a new wellness space for the Club Natació Atlètic Barceloneta called SPAI. The Club Natació Atlètic-Barceloneta (CNAB) is a historic club located on the seafront of the Mediterranean in the city of Barcelona (Spain). This club has a large number of members and a top-level men's waterpolo team. In addition, they are backing a high-performance youth academy in lower categories, both for males and females. Its aquatic facilities include an indoor pool of 33 x 25 m for swimming and water polo, and three outdoor pools, one of 20 x 13 m for bathing, another of 25 x 21 m for swimming and a Skypool panel pool of 25 x 20 m at the foot of the beach also made by Fluidra. It should be remembered that Fluidra also carried out the project to adapt the facilities to the pandemic situation by making the first perfect COVID-free pool in Spain and Europe. Inaugurated in 2022, this wellness project was designed by the architect Antoni Altayó and the Fluidra Commercial Pool & Wellness Division. Its 421 m2 include various wellness elements: a vitality pool with multiple aquatic effects, contrast pools, sauna, steam bath, ice fountain, sensation showers and other relaxation areas, ice fountain, sensation showers and other relaxation areas.
    Description of Fluidra's scope
    The features included in this wellness project are the following: 1. Playful Vitality spa pool 34ºC Inoxpool construction technology has been proposed for building the spa pool. It consists of the design and manufacture of a rectangular stainless steel pool measuring 15.5 x 5.63 x 1.2 m and a filtration system using an overflow channel. It will also include stainless steel steps, LED projectors, different effects and water jets, hydromassage seats, etc. 2. Cold Pool 14ºC Inoxpool construction technology has been proposed for building the cold pool. It involves the design and manufacture of a rectangular stainless steel swimming pool measuring 3 x 2 x 1 m and a filtration system using an overflow channel. It will include an access ladder, stainless steel LED projectors and benches with different air and water effects. 3. Hot Pool 40ºC The Inoxpool construction system is the technology proposed for the construction of the hot pool. It will involve the design and manufacture of a rectangular stainless steel swimming pool measuring 3 x 2 x 1 m and a filtration system using an overflow channel. It will include an access ladder, stainless steel LED projectors and benches with different air and water effects. 4. Sauna We proposed an Innsbruck sauna belonging to Fluidra's collection of saunas for professional use. It has precise lines, exudes creativity and absolute care has been taken in every detail. It fuses Nordic tradition with the elegance of contemporary design in extremely balanced proportions (4.10 x 4.57 x 2.10 m) that make it perfect for today's wellness areas. It is made of high quality HEMLOCK wood. It has a front module, secured glass door, hidden heater and RGB LED lighting. 5. Steam bath Complete ASANA model steam bath (4.10 x 4.80 x 2.2 m). The perfect balance between two worlds. Its straight lines and elegant finishes, fully aligned with the current interior design trend, make Asana the steam room for the most demanding projects, where the fusion between luxury and simplicity converge in one. 6. Cabina de relax con pared de sal Proposal for a relaxation room with a salt wall and heated benches. Salt walls are used in dry environments and are composed of 20 x 10 x 2 cm salt bricks, decorative white LED lighting and a power supply. The heated benches are made of high-density extruded polystyrene and are powered by electric heating. 7. Ice fountain ASANA model ice fountain. The AstralPool ice generator kit is a robust, efficient piece of equipment that includes all the components necessary for its correct use and quick installation, from the ice chopping machine to the stainless steel trim tubes. 8. Emotional showers There will be a set of emotional or sensation showers: a bucket shower, two bithermal showers and two infinity showers. Fluidra Commercial Pool & Wellness Division, in partnership with Fluidra Comercial España and the architect Antoni Altayó, was responsible for all the mechanical, electrical and hydraulic design of the project with an on-site project manager to supervise and coordinate it, as well as to provide technical support.
